Home to the 7th largest natural harbor in the world, Historic towns such as Spanish Town and Port Royal it is a direct contrast from the laid-back north coast resort towns and remote areas on the island.

The “Centrepiece of Jamaica”, situated between the islands two cities – Kingston and Montego is known for providing excellent access from both airports. Known for it’s lush landscape of caves, gardens, rivers and white sand beaches, Ocho Rios is a popular tourist destination for travellers to the island. This small port town features duty-free shopping, a cruise ship terminal, world-renowned tourist attractions and several beaches and acclaimed resorts. It also has an international airport (Ian Fleming International Airport) name after the famous writer who made the town his home. Ocho Rios which means “eight rivers” in Spanish derives from “Las Chorreras” meaning “waterfalls” and maybe a reflection of the many waterfalls around the area. It is also the birth place of Bob Marley and Marcus Garvey. It also offers a variety of cultural experiences Marley’s mausoleum at Nine Miles, ReggaeXplosion and famous sights such as world famous Dunn’s River Falls and Fern Gully.

Manchester

Manchester

Known as “The Rugged Region”, you will find a beautiful, rural area called Manchester, that boasts unspoiled farms and land for as far as the eye can see. Its capital, Mandeville, is a major business center located approximately 60 miles (100 km) west of Kingston. Mandeville boost no fewer than 14 shopping centres, two hospitals (one public and one private), medical centres and doctors, next to Kingston, it provides the best medical services in the island, a major asset for tourism development.

Manchester is also known for its mountainous regions with its highest point at 2770 feet (840m) above sea level and temperatures range from a low of 12.7 C (55 F) in December and January, to a high of 33 C (91 F) in July and August. Which make it a great destination for nature seeking lovers.
